We personally work with each golfer to help them achieve their individual goals. Early on, we identify what each client is capable of with our goal being to help them reach, then exceed, that potential.

Head Golf Professional

Austin Helms

Austin grew up in Monroe, North Carolina, a small farm town about an hour south of Charlotte. Growing up Austin played every sport but golf until a life-threatening dirt-bike wreck prevented him from playing most sports any longer. At this time Austin’s grandfather gave him a set of clubs, and he fell in love with the game. Austin devoted many years of practice to the sport and made the varsity golf team all four years of high school. Austin also competed on several junior golf tours, winning multiple junior golf events. Austin has worked at Union League National in Sea Isle City, New Jersey, QuickFixGolf in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. Most recently, Austin worked as an Assistant Golf Professional at Prestwick Country Club in Myrtle Beach. While working at Prestwick Country Club, Austin was involved in the PGA Hope program which consisted of weekly golf clinics for veterans as well as the Folds of Honor and Special Olympic programs respectively. Over the past few years, Austin has given over 3,000 lessons, developed several successful junior & ladies golf programs and created weekly league opportunities for members and guests. Austin has also been able to spend time with some of the game’s greats, learning from Gary Player, Justin Thomas, and Phil Mickelson along the way.

Assistant Golf Professional

Cameron Burke

Having been around the game from the time he was 3 years old, Cameron developed a true passion for golf as a kid competing on the Emerald Coast Junior Golf Tour. Growing up around Emerald Bay and Camp Creek, Cameron was brought about into the golf industry through his father Peter, who obtained his Class A status through the PGA program.

He has the both the drive and the desire to help people of all skill levels improve their game. Cameron has been a staff member at Indian Bayou Golf Club for over a year and is currently working his way towards his Class A status. Since joining our team as an instructor, Cameron has started a Junior Golf Clinic with aspirations to develop and instill a love for the game of golf in the upcoming generation.

When not at the course he enjoys spending time with his wife Tessa.
